Overview of the AP Exam: The AP exam, or Advanced Placement exam, is a standardized test administered by the College Board in the United States. The exam is typically taken by high school students who have completed an Advanced Placement course in a particular subject and are seeking college credit or advanced placement in college courses.

There are currently 38 AP exams available in various subjects such as English, Math, Science, Social Science, and Foreign Languages. Each exam is approximately two to three hours long and is scored on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being the highest possible score.

2023 AP Exam Dates: The 2023 AP Exams will be administered in schools over two weeks in May: May 1–5 and May 8–12. The AP coordinator notifies students when and where to appear.
